PhoneGaim Takes a Crack AOL

Michael Robertson of MP3.com and Lindows fame loves to get sued because of all the publicity he gets generated by the big names (Microsoft, all the music labels, ect.). So its no surprise that he has named his Linux oriented phone service PhoneGaim. The last three letters, as in AIM for AOL’s Instant Messenger is a service that is interoperable with all the leading IM services and has phone capabilities by linking in to SipPhone, Robertson’s phone company play.

Oh, and just to make sure Michael keeps his “you got sued” streak alive, I’ll point out that the icon looks very similar to AOL’s IM icon….

Way to go, Mr. Disruptor.
