DialPad Goes To Europe, Cheaper

Dialpad has been a VoIP player for many years and has offered service to thousands of PC users as well as calling card customers. They have a hybrid h.323 and SIP platform. Back in 2001 they announced a relationship with Level3 . Now it seems they are offering reduced rates to call Europe.

How much of this is a defensive move fend off the SKYPE’s of the world I’m not sure. But like DeltaThree’s iConnectHere service, Dialpad has a proven platform, and with a renewed and vigorous marketing effort, the company with an already established distribution and sales model can possibly become a bigger player in a space that will be getting very crowded, very soon.

  1. Andy,
Are you sure you really checked the rates. This is based on a monthly calling commitment for 1200 minutes. Their prepaid card rates are even higher.
Perhaps there should be a renewed call for “rates” transparency?
