To prove that PCCW is wrong, Hong Kong telecom operator City Telecom is offering a free VoIP trial.
One has to commend City for taking the high road. Rather than get into a war of words with PCCW, the upstart is saying let the service prove for itself how well it works.
The serious aspect of PCCW letter to its subscribers is the claim that it is illegal to attch any device other than PC to its broadband network. City Telecom’s offer addresses only the “negative ad” aspect of the letter. In my opinion the policy matter is more serious.
