Comcast Adopting AT&T For VoIP?

In a story that makes total sense, TMC.net has a report that Comast would be well best aided by casting their VoIP fortunes to AT&T for the network and management, if you want to believe one of the Telecom industry’s brighter analysts from Probe Research, a company that has always had a great handle on AT&T.

Regarded as one of the smarter companies in cable, Comcast is an entertainment and marketing company. To develop technology in house, that’s not their forte, and as one of their senior VP’s once said they really work hard to not tick off their customers.

By linking up with AT&T they will get proven reliability and experience. That’s what Comcast is all about and as the bright analysts at Probe point out, could keep them out of a can’t win price war with the Vonage’s of the VoIP world.
