Toshiba has announced a product line up to compete with Avayya and Cisco. I dont see the price points holding for long. There will be lots of competition in the VoIP space. Think where the router market has been driven down to. I also can’t see a price of $160 for a softphone. My guess is here the pricing is based on there being a bunch of “channel partners” in the mix–integrators, distributors, agents, wholesalers, carriers–all of whom get a piece of the pie.
