I’m actually meeting up with Danny Klein, one of my favorite analysts in the telecom space while at VoN so when I saw this article I had to post it. Danny likely helped assemble the stats, yet the author went to Current Analysis for commentary.
I’m anxious to hear Danny’s views over some wine while I’m in Boston.
Personally, I beleive by the end of 2010, we will see about 25 Million VOIP phones deployed and I will give you a reason why——CABLES!!! Cable companies like Comcast and COX combined have 60,000 SERVICE TRUCKS makiing 8 calls per day gives you 500,000 ”FACE SHOTS” to install or sell voip PER DAY!!! THE MATH works out to 3 MILLION “”FACE VISITS”” per week! CABLES will change the landscape of VOIP before its all over!
