Longtime VoIP industry watchers will recall that the State of Minnesota was the first state in the union to seek to put a tax on Vonage for their VoIP service. Now the state utility regulators have announced they have backed off.
While this cannot be viewed as the way all states will behave, certainly last month’s FCC decision to remove state involvement with VoIP is starting to impact matters the way Michael Powell is envisioning.
