In-Stat is hyping their report about VoIP. The numbers don’t lie.
What I find interesting is the way they trends are going. If you look closely you will see that 2004 was the year VoIP made it from the networking pages to the regular mainstream press as news. Vonage and CallVantage largely get the credit, with some boosts from Jeff Pulver and a few others. Next year we will see bigger pushes from the companies in the Enterprise markets. You can clearly expect to see AT&T, Level3, CallTower, Covad and others in the PSTN PBX replacement market gear up and begin the onslaught of selling in of the VoIP beyond the SOHO market.
The small and medium enterprise market represents the most lucrative channel in the quickest amount of time. Follow the money and always go to a target rich environment.
