Net2Phone has added another cable network to its roster of companies using its VoIP platform.
What I’m seeing is a steady stream of technology going into areas that have been ravaged by Katrina. WiMax from Intel, VoIP from a range of carriers is there now.
I expect to see some logical thinking though with what replaces the torn up, flooded systems. Greater use of Wireless, installation of fiber, not just a replacement of copper lines. Softswitch based phone systems, not circuit switched and everything based on IP, not TDM/ATM.
