Vonage has posted an open position for Director of Investor Relations. This is a position that normally is only for public companies and would be a sign that they plan the public offering to happen.
On a related note, a long time industry Field Level VIP related reader tells me that two of Vonage’s sales execs have bit the dust in the last few months. Matt Deatrick SVP reportedly went bye bye and Lee Allen VP and Vonage said so long a few weeks ago.
When you add that and the fact that Vonage is spending less at retail it is obvious they are looking to get their burn rate down, and the direct sales channel is becoming more and more important to them.
