Internet Telephony’s Tom Keating has to get the award for having the Eagle’s eye, spotting the Sun Rocket logo on photos of a new series of DECT phones that work either with VoIP or PSTN from client ATS (American Telecom).
The DECT standard means no interference in the home or office with WiFi and more importantly, these phones work using SIP, opening up all kinds of possibilities for add-in and add-ons that can come from the application side of the technology world.
Problem is DECT 1.8/1.9 has approximately 1/2 the range that the new 5.8 GHz spectrum has. Do you know anyone looking for less range?
