While my time has been limited this week to be trying out new software from Skype, I did try a fast comparative test with PhoneBoy, who has become my “benchmarker.”
You see, in order for tests to have any value they have to be consistent in nature. What good would it do for me to test randomly, without any constants.
So Dameon, who like me works out of his home office most of the time and I duplicated the same trials we’ve done previously with voice using SightSpeed vs. Gizmo and Skype, only this time, using Video.
As PhoneBoy stated, and as Luca replicated, the results were no contest. SightSpeed blew Skype away.
Now, for the sake of transparency, SightSpeed is an agency client, but, I was also a SightSpeed convert long before that happened, and I would have run the same test regardless.
