Top Fifty In VoIP

VoIP News has published a very segmented and rather comprehensive list of who’s who, or who’s really influential in VoIP.

Needless to say when it came to the pundit category, Jeff is number one. He should be. He’s been at it the longest and is the leader. I’m honored just to be in his shadow, and once again humbled to be thought of so highly by our peers.

That said, Om Malik is in my mind more deserving. I’m a part time reporter/radio show cohost, who knows how to be a journalist because I was trained by some of the best. Now I’m a full time communications guy, who networks well and gets the story, and is able to make sense of it for others. But I’m not in Om’s league.

Om and his GigaOm team are in my view the place where the stories get made. So like at the Olympics I’m asking my friend, Om to step up to the Silver Medal stand and join me.

The same holds true for Mark, Russell, Greg and the rest. These are the real journalists who blog and to each of them, I say you’re all way ahead of me, but hey, the judges didn’t ask me….

  1. Hi Andy,
Your Olympic spirit is honorable and humbling. I didn’t really rank anything past #1, the Asterisk Community. It’s simply too difficult to do anything but categorize all the talent. Om Malik is definitely a pro’s pro, though.
    Congratulations again.
