Mark Evans has a post which I agree with about the current need or non-need for a bloggers code of conduct.
Recently, someone I consider a friend shared some concerns about some perceived personal biases that may or may not exist in this blog. I was appreciative and also in some cases already aware of some of it, and in other cases somewhat dismayed, not at the person for bringing it to my attention, but that others have no legs of their own to stand on.
Blogging is like being an opinion columnist in the newspaper. Sure you cover the news, but the opinion like writers, aka the columnist are the writers who carried them along.
Mark and his link to bud Michael Arrington are dead on the money. While there isn’t any need for pettiness that also surfaces, the keys to blogging remain transparency and candidness. Sadly the critics usually lack either.
