I know, there is something called MMS, but in this case a new box lets you make calls over your Skype connection from your mobile.
Gee. Last I checked PhoneGnome has been doing this already for about a year or so.
What does this mean? It means there remains an audience who want to be in the toll call bypass game and as long as their is a market, vendors and suppliers will produce products and services to fill it.
This type of service takes off for Skype when more people are on Skype all the time or use Skype Forward. Until then, it’s a very niche market.
Mmmmmhhhhh,
I find these boxes quite stupid. The box and your computer at home need to run all the time just because you maybe want to do a mobile Skype call.
Yet for the electricity costs it would possibly be cheaper to use iSkoot.
I personally prefer Fring. In a Wifi network I can place and receive Skype calls on my mobile phone. And outside I can send text messages with my Skype pals via GPRS.
