One of Southern California’s wine regions is just North of San Diego County, at the bottom of Riverside County. Called the Temecula Valley, the area is a challenging environment for winemakers due to the heat that comes from the desert to the east. Palm Desert.
Each year the Temecula Valley Winemakers put their best wines forward in an event called “World of Wine 2010.” This year’s event will be held March 6th and 7th. Tasters travel the circuitous loop through the Temecula Valley wine country which allows them to enjoy the wineries of Rancho California Road as well as the De Portola Trail and in-between via an effortless, self guided tour. Guests will receive a winery map with menu listing, a passport ticket which allows a visit to each participating winery and a souvenir logo wine glass.
