OpenAI has announced new models and developer products at their DevDay event. They introduced GPT-4 Turbo with a 128K context, lower prices, and improved performance, as well as the Assistants API for developers to build their own AI apps with specific goals.
They also added new capabilities to the platform, including vision and image creation with DALL·E 3, and text-to-speech. OpenAI is also offering GPT-4 fine-tuning and a Custom Models program for more customization. They have reduced prices and increased rate limits for developers and introduced Copyright Shield to defend customers from copyright infringement claims.
At every turn, what Open AI is doing is turning heads and also putting SaaS startups on notice, that nothing that was created yesterday is safe from being rolled into ChatGPT.
