The next wave of VoIP will be offerings that make things simple and rely on VoIP to be the medium. Clients like PhoneGnome, Peerio are in this space. Aswath speaks of another one, and in his mild manner, seems to point that there’s more.

I tend to agree and have been on the “it’s the apps that matter” for some time. Pipe and Applications are what people want. They don’t want to have to configure this, install that, change those, etc. Simple is the key.
