As the co-producer and orchestrator of the enchanting wineTOURia wine dinners at Tesse Restaurant in West Hollywood, I am thrilled to extend a personal invitation to you for an unforgettable summer of wine exploration. Past wine dinner experiences at Tesse and other locations around Los Angeles continue to resonate with Jordan and me, and we would be delighted to have you grace our tables again.
wineTOURia is a new venture that passionately bridges the gap between the vineyard and the glass, seeking to expose wines, winemakers, and wine regions from “the wine roads less traveled.” Those with a deep-rooted love for wine will find the hand curating of an extraordinary lineup of top winemakers, and their wines, paired with Chef Raphael’s amazing cuisine, will help make our wineTOURia dinner series at Tesse part of a summer not to forget.
This really will be a memorable summer filled with exquisite wines, delectable food, and enlightening conversations. Chene Bleu – Friday, July 21st
We are thrilled to kick off our series with a dinner featuring Chene Bleu, a winery that has earned the “Super Rhone” moniker for its exceptional wines. Owner Nicole Sierra-Rolet will be joining us, sharing her passion and knowledge of the winemaking process. Last year, our Chene Bleu dinner was oversubscribed with 65 guests, a testament to the allure of their wines and the captivating presence of Nicole. This year promises to be no less exciting.

“Tour de Ventoux” – Saturday, July 22nd
Prepare for an immersive journey through the Ventoux, guided by winemaker, wine savant, and Ventoux enthusiast James Wood along with Chene Bleu’s Nicole Rolet. James and Nicole will showcase exceptional wineries, including Chateau Unang, Clos du Trias, Domaine Via Caritatis, library wines from Chene Bleu, and James’ own Grenache Rocks.
The evening will commence with a selection of wines paired with hors d’oeuvres, poured and presented by James and Nicole. Following this, guests will be seated for a sumptuous two-course meal masterfully curated by Chef Raphael to complement the evening’s featured wines. The Ventoux Dynamic Duo will also delve deeper into the Ventoux region, sharing their collective insights and passion.

Margerum Wine Company with Doug Margerum – Wednesday, July 26th
Join us for an evening with Doug Margerum, the mastermind behind Margerum Wine Company. As the former owner of The Wine Cask in Santa Barbara, Doug’s passion for food and wine and meticulous attention to detail have earned him a reputation as one of the leading winemakers in Santa Barbara’s wine region. This dinner will be a unique opportunity to taste his exceptional wines and hear his captivating stories about the winemaking process. Doug has been a friend for over 30 years and is my co-winemaker on the Comunicano Wine Company the Tesse customers and regulars have already been enjoying since the restaurant opened in 2018.

Lindquist & Verdad with Bob and Louisa Lindquist – Wednesday, August 2nd
Bob and Louisa Lindquist are our visiting winemakers, the dynamic duo behind Lindquist Wine Company and Verdad Wines. Bob Lindquist, a pioneer in Rhone varietals and a Rhone Ranger Hall of Fame winemaker, along with Louisa Lindquist, known for her commitment to sustainable farming and mastery of Spanish varietals, have been instrumental in shaping the Central Coast’s wine industry for over 40 years. This dinner will offer a unique opportunity to taste their remarkable wines and learn about their innovative winemaking practices. Like Doug, Bob and Louisa have been friends for over 33 years as Bob, along with the late Jim Clendenen, was responsible for meeting Doug and introducing me to the wine world as an “insider,” not just a consumer.
