Last night client iotum won the CATA Alliance award. Unlike many other awards that can be applied for or purchased through an entry, the CATA award for Innovation has their own selection criteria and an independent committee. Jon Arnold has the scoop in his blog post.

Skype has struck a deal with Packard Bell, a maker of low end computers for the mass market, which places a Skype button in the keyboard. As more and more hardware deals like this are struck it will make it easier for more new users to experiment with Skype in my view.
