ZD Net reports large growth in VoIP in the last year.

Looks like a bunch of connected technocrats, visionaries, bloggers and podcasters are mixing it up. Om takes a stand, telling like it is/was. Others, seem to back-peddle out hoping to get an invite, or just try to be polite. At least Russell B is standing his ground. Read Om’s post (if you care).

I’m getting concerned that this may be a circular rumor. Not sure why, but consider the facts. An analyst from a big firm makes a speculation. Depending how you read this Red Herring report, Yahoo may have a full blown VoIP play coming.

Tom brings up some very good points about port blocking, something which Cox does with email as the block port 25 and 135. So, TK, can you yell at them too for me…I mean they’re here in the good old USA !!!!

Watch veteran USA cable legends Malone and Schneider become big players in VoIP around the globe with this one. IDT and NTOP are likely significant to their future too, I bet.
