A Seattle area company has launched VTone Office following on the heals of GloPhone’s PBX offering.
The SOHO and Smal Business market is huge. Previously, it was a market owned virtually by Cisco Certified resellers for VoIP and the local RBOC’s. Now, the entire product and service chain is being disrupted by hosted Centrex PBX like companies.
This is good for carriers like Level 3 and these startups. AT&T is in the space too, and while they have been quiet, they likely have the largest sales force and already an installed customer base on the data side. Same for MCI and Sprint.
