California May Terminate PSTN

A report making the rounds in California’s state capitol suggests that Governator Arnold switch to open source and VoIP.

In an era where being a good corporate citizen is such an important thing, I don’t get why such outspoken leaders like John Chambers of Cisco, Scott McNealy of Sun, Dr. Irwin Jacobs of Qualcomm, Carly Fiorina of H-P and others don’t just use their resources to explain the benefits, help Arnold make a better decision and step up to the plate by putting their money where their mouths are. This is all too easy.

Companies based in California have a vested interest in seeing the budget balanced, services restored and a better infrastructure laid here, all across the state, not just in Silicon Valley.

  1. That would be something if government branches embraced VoIP as a way to balance the budget.
I am curious when publications (no offense intended, Andy) and Arnold himself will stop using “terminate” in headlines and teasers involving the actor/governor. It’s becoming a real tired cliche, especially considering the last Terminator movie really stunk.

  2. hi,
