VoIP to Be Part of Command and Control with Military

General Dynamics and SAIC are locked in a battle for the US Military’s new Command and Control infrastructure that will be very much IP protocol based.

And VoIP will be a part of it according to the sidebar to a story about C&C.

Reports continue to swirl from VoIPNuke’s Skibare about Level3 hammering hard for that business. That’s the kind of business which built MCI, the nations primary supplier to the DoD for IP connectivity and transport.

Time will tell who wins in the end, but the VoIP business will be give a huge shot in the arm and in validation once Command and Control rolls out.
