Hello Amtrak Look Who’s Doing WiMax on The Rails

Amtrak in the USA is seeing a steady fall off in ridership. Back in the 80s and early part of the 90’s I used to always enjoy taking the Metroliner from Philadelphia to New York City. It was fast, efficient and mostly on time. Now when I ride it, I use the EvDO card, just like I do out on the west coast when I take the Surfliner from San Diego to Santa Barbara.

Reading James’ post about the train from London down to Brighton (he must have played them all) I have to think that here in the USA T-Mobile could be doing the same thing, working with Covad for the WiMax integration. Now if they will only add real 3G here, I’d be very pleased.

It would give a great meaning to Anyway, Anywhere, Anyhow I choose to stay connected.

Who’s Next?
