I’ve said a few times since VON that Earthlink will be heading deeper into the VoIP realm. Now Ben Charny over at CNET has the news about their next offer. What’s interesting is that Earthlink is likely migrating away from Vonage.

The always informative Light Reading newsletter has a very detailed story about the RBOC’s working with Vonage and other carriers to solve the E-911 jigsaw puzzle. My guess is other VoIP providers will be joining in soon with their E-911 solutions, not necessarily all tied to the PSAPS of Verizon and SBC.
