VoIP Quality

Below is part one of a rather unscientific blogging experiment. I’ve recorded short messages using AudioBlog over various VoIP carriers using either my cordless phones (Uniden and Olympia) or the WiFi phones from Pulver Innovations/Zyxel. Later today I’ll do some more using the TA’s from Packet 8, BroadVoice, VoicePulse, etc.

Port-of-call: Libretel’s flat-rate incoming 1-800 service Leonardo has a note about Port Of Call, the service from one of Jeff Pulver’s companies. I’ve actually used PoC to retrieve voice mail when I’m in London from my CallVantage Voice Mail service. It works as advertised. Just remember when using a cell phone to have DTMF turned on.
