Vonage Looking @ WiFi But Better

What I like about Vonage is they are always thinking ahead. So this idea, which I actually had and experimented with Webley back in 2002/2003 with using my Sony Vaio Picturebook, a hacked version of Windows Messenger and from Starbucks is really not breakthrough to me, but it is a great idea. Make a WiFi … Read more

VoIP And WiFi In NYC?

Viper Network Takes on Brazil

Viper Networks, based in my backyard in San Diego announced a win in Brazil. Viper, which is rather tightlipped other than in issuing press releases, seems to be building a business based on either installations with carriers who can sell their VoIP service or through resellers. They remain a company to watch.

XyZEL Prestige 2000

Well after some doing, I finally got the XyZEL Prestige 2000 WiFi SIP handset working. About the size of a candy bar style cell phone, I could not get it to work with either the Microsoft 802.11g or Netgear Travel router (bummer) as it could not pick up the DHCP, so I went out and … Read more
