VoiceGlo’s Glophone has some P2P competition with a new player in the game. Named BuzzFone, the company is offering a Skype like peer to peer service for free.
Let’s see. Buzzfone, Skype, Peerio, VoIPster, all P2P. Add in Firefly, Glophone, SipPhone, FWD and who knows how many others and one has to wonder if anyone in a all online group of friends will pay for phone service the way we used to.
The answer is sure. Termination and services are key, as is call quality. So while free services have an appeal, its what else the carrier can offer that will matter.
