Skype has lowered their outbound calling rates today to more countries. They have added 20, lowered the price to .017 Euros or about 2 cents a minute.
They also admit that 1.8 million of their users have paid for Skype Out. That makes them a very significant VoIP player, possibly second to Yahoo BB in paying customers.
What Skype doesn’t say is what percentage of that number actually use the service or of that slice of the Skype pie how much average use per day there is by them.
Skype also will be raising calls to some markets.
