It looks like the idea of a phone that offers both 3G and VoIP over WiFi is for real in Japan.
America’s Network has a story about SBC’s efforts around TipTop. Worth a read, but not much new. Probe Research also issued a report on the same subject.
A Goldman Sachs report continues to show that the enterprise market plans to continue to move towards VoIP deployments. In my book VoIP in business is no longer an “IF”, but is now a “WHEN” which spells good news for the IP carriers like AT&T, Level3 and others.
PC World, which is opening a VoIP Center, has a good story that should help people decide to take the VoIP plunge or not.

About the only thing that was missing would have been in Om’s post would be a reference to Pearl Harbor in describing SBC’s move yesterday. What I should say is Om’s outstanding post. This is a must read. The guy is pure genius. Read it. Blog it. Share it with your friends.
Skype has struck their first promotional deal. They will be working with Logitech on a promotional marketing program where people who buy the Logitech USB headsets get vouchers good for Skype Out Minutes. This is a bundling deal and is something that will only further propel Skype.
