In my view this is more of a continuation of a business strategy by Cisco, than the end game. Cisco has been buying pieces of emerging sectors for years, using the concept of vertical integration. These two acquisitions continue that trend.

My favorite WiFi provider in the USA and favorite hotel chain, Sofitel, just announced they will have WiFi in Sofitel properties. I have not found a better in building provider than T-Mobile and that means better VoIP for me when I’m in their properties.
